Brick sessions and fade
How DataFrame.fit detects same-day paired sessions (bike-run, strength-run, hybrid) and labels fade on the second leg. Open Bricks to see history, or check the second activity after a brick day.
What counts as a brick
A brick is a same-day pair: bike then run, strength then run, or hybrid pairs such as HYROX strength and a run. DataFrame.fit detects those pairs from your Garmin log. You do not have to tag them by hand.
Fade on the second leg
Fade is how much the second leg slows or loses quality compared with a standalone session of that sport. That is the brick question athletes actually ask: did the run off the bike hold, or did it come apart.
HYROX and triathlon
Triathlon bricks and HYROX pairs are first-class. Mark HYROX in Settings - sports if that is how you train, so volume splits and tips stay relevant.
Steps
- 1. Train both legs the same dayComplete the pair (for example ride then run, or strength then run) and sync.
- 2. Open the second sessionThe second activity can show as a brick with fade on that leg.
- 3. Open BricksBricks lists same-day pairs so you can see how the second leg usually behaves.
