Races and personal bests
Support / Races and personal bests
How races work in DataFrame.fit. Add A, B, or C races, mark a Garmin session as a race, and read personal bests by format on Analysis. Close A and B races also shape Home in race week.
A, B, and C
A-races drive race-week guidance on Home: days out, taper hints, and a predicted finish when DataFrame.fit has enough recent work. B-races get a lighter focus. C-races stay on the calendar without taking over Home.
Finish estimates
Predictions use your fastest recent efforts (about 3 to 20 minutes), plus Garmin 5K or 10K when those exist. Easy runs are ignored. Open a race and use (i) if you want to see how a leg was built.
HYROX and triathlon formats
Race types follow the sports you train. HYROX Open and Pro, triathlon distances, and running road races sit in the same list. Title brands such as HYROX map to a format when DataFrame.fit knows it.
Steps
- Add a race - Open Races and add the event. Set A, B, or C priority and the format (for example 10K, Olympic, HYROX Open).
- It lands on Garmin too - Adding or editing a race also schedules it on your Garmin Connect calendar for that day. Delete removes it from both places.
- Mark a session if needed - If Garmin left a race as training, open the activity and tap Mark as race. Tap Not a race if the opposite happened.
- Read personal bests - Analysis - Personal bests keeps race finishes, longest efforts, and running peaks from 1K to marathon when sessions are marked as races.
